‘The eye is always caught by light, but shadows have more to say’
My photography career started in 1992 after successfully completing my training in “photographic design” at the Academy of Photography in The Hague. After my education I started working as a professional photographer, first as a studio advertising photographer and from 2001 as an independent photographer in Amsterdam. I mainly work as a commercial advertising and interior photographer.
Besides my commercial work I like to spend time on my free work project ‘Connected Landscapes’. I connect with the land of my ancestors ‘Wales’ and with my own home town ‘Amsterdam’.
Composition, control of light and shadows both in commercial photography and in my free work, is the essence of photography for me.
